Short History

Hi Everyone! Glad you made it to my web page. Hope you like it. The short history of Pastor Chuck is that I grew up in a loving family on a farm in North Dakota. I have always been a Lutheran boy. My home church is Bethesda Lutheran, which is on the prairies south of Leith, North Dakota. I graduated from Elgin High. Received a B.A. in Religion and Philosophy from Jamestown College, Jamestown, N.D. While at JC I was deeply involved with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. I also met the love of my life in Debra Jo Holt. We got married during her final year of college. Upon our graduations from JC we moved to Minnesota and were involved in Youth Ministry for many years. While a Youth Director at Cambridge Lutheran Church I attended Luther Seminary in St. Paul and received my Master of Divinity degree. My first call as a Pastor was with Tri-County Ministry of Cooperstown, N.D. During all of this we grew our famiy and have five boys... or young men... Aaron- who is 23 and in the Air Force; Luke- who is 21, married to Charlene and going to College at NDSU; Ben- who is 19, attending Weber State and manages a Subway; and then there are our twins- Mitchell and Jacob, who are 13, and so very busy... skateboarding, baseball, snowboarding, scouts, etc. In June of 2006 I received a call here at Our Savior's Lutheran of Roy, Utah. We all love it here and plan to be here for a very long time. It's the best church in Utah hands down! PTL!

Hi Chuck and Deb,
I just found an email from you with the church website address, so thought I would see what is new with you.
It is a lovely Sept day out here at the camp. I am waiting for Truley Trautman to arrive to set up for a scrapbooking retreat. Denny and Ken took a load of trees to New Rockford at noon where they will be split into halves for new campfire seating! They are having their steam threshers days there.

The biggest change around here is that Abbi is apartment hunting in Fargo today and will be leaving after 10 years at the camp. I just put together a job description for a Program Director position.
Hope all is well this fall as everyone is back in school and all of the activities the boys are in.
I'll check back to see if you update your blog.
..check out our web site and sign up for our 2 x month eNewsletter. You can get all the news you need right on your computer! Denny is busy raising $12,500 for a Barry Foundation grant match for lake bank soil erosion work.

May God continue to bless you all,
Becky Goetz
